PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scanning light detection device capable of detecting light to be detected with high sensitivity even if the light to be detected is scattered light or light disturbed in its wave front.
SOLUTION: The scanning light detection device includes a scanning means, a mode adjusting means (10) for adjusting the mode state of incident light, an amplifying means (20) for amplifying the light adjusted in its mode state output from the mode adjusting means, and a conversion means (30) for converting the amplified light output from the amplifying means to an electric signal. The mode adjusting means (10) adjusts multi-mode incident light to the mode almost matching the amplifying space mode by the amplifying means (20) in the mode distribution of energy.
