PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical coil having a structure which is excellent in manufacturing stability and can improve productivity a medical instrument and a method for manufacturing the medical coil.SOLUTION: A coil 3 is manufactured by winding a winding wire 31 having a recess 311 formed on a cross section perpendicular to a longitudinal direction. The cross-sectional shape of the winding wire 31, before being wound, in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction is a shape formed by cutting a rectangular side.
