To provide a line controlling implement allowing a beginner to comfortably cast a line at FULL POWER.
SOLUTION: The implement has a plane body 1 integrated with a finger stopper 15 and a projecting piece 2 integrated with a line guiding material 14 disposed ON one side surface of a holder 3 formed by half-splitting a cylinder. The implement is attached to the distal end of a fixed socket 11 of a reel leg already press-attached to a fishing rod 5, and fixed to the fishing rod 5 with a rubber band 4. Differences in the line control of the implement from a conventional implement are that the line is controlled in one side surface of the fishing rod 5, and that the line tension generated from the swung-out fishing rod 5 is transmitted from an index finger to the projecting piece 2, so that pain at the finger tips when the fishing rod 5 is swung out is eliminated. The total line tension can be felt at the fingertips lightly pressing the line 6 between the projecting piece 2 and a spool 10 in the bending state and so that timely casting of the line becomes easy.
