PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seedling transplanter equipped with a spare seedling carrying part the switching operation of which is automatically done, with a simple structure and in a short time, between a developed state in which a plurality of spare seedling platforms are arranged back and forth in an approximate straight line and a stacked state in which the spare seedling platforms are arranged to be vertically overlapped in plane view.SOLUTION: The seedling transplanter includes: a plurality of spare seedling carrying members (38a, 38b, 38c) with which seedling trays are placed on a traveling car body 2 a plurality of movement link members (39a, 39b, 39c) which freely rotatably link each of the spare seedling carrying members and a switching driving device 70 which freely switches a plurality of the spare seedling carrying members between the developed state and the stacked state by the rotation of the movement link members. The switching driving device 70 includes: a switching gear 70a an electric motor 71 which drives the switching gear 70a and a driving switching mechanism 83. The driving switching mechanism 83 rotates by the electric motor 71 and rotates the rotation gear 70a, and, in addition, stops the electric motor 71 when the rotation gear 70a is incapable of rotating.
