1. A formula for feeding through a probe, including; - at least five different whole food components; - a source of vitamins or minerals; - a source of protein; - a source of carbohydrate; and - a source of fat. 2. The probe-fed formulation of claim 1, comprising at least six different whole food components or at least seven different whole food components. The probe-fed formulation of claim 1 or 2, wherein the whole food components are selected from the group consisting of processed fruit, processed vegetable, processed meat, processed grain, and combinations thereof. 4. The probe-fed formulation of claim 1, further comprising a phytonutrient selected from the group consisting of flavonoids, carotenoids, related phenolic compounds, polyphenolic compounds, terpenoids, alkaloids, sulfur compounds, and combinations thereof. The probe-fed formulation of claim 4, wherein the phytonutrient is naturally contained in at least one of the fruits and vegetables. The probe-fed formulation of claim 1, further comprising a nutrient source typically consumed by individuals in a particular region of the world, where the nutrient source is selected from the group consisting of fruit, vegetables, spicy herbs, spices, flavoring, and combinations thereof. The probe-fed formulation of claim 1, wherein the whole food components, vitamins, minerals, and proteins are organic. A formula for feeding through a probe, including: - processed whole food product; - at least seven different sources of macronutrients selected from the group consisting of protein, carbohydrates, fats, and combinations thereof�1.
