Disclosed is a method of using a storage bin system including: mounting a bin support on a structure by attaching a mounting adapter of the bin support to the structure； and placing a bin on the bin support. Also disclosed is a method of using a storage bin system including: mounting a bin support to a rail member by connecting a rail adapter of the bin support to the rail member； and detaching the bin support from the rail member by detaching the rail adapter of the bin support from the rail member.
