PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for growing iron powder-coated rice seeds directly sowed in the flooded paddy field which can accelerate budding of the iron powder-coated rice seeds after surface sowing to prevent weed damage.SOLUTION: In the method for growing iron powder-coated rice seeds directly sowed in flooded paddy field including the following steps in this order: seed preparation； seed soaking； coating with iron powder； after-coating management (oxidation, drying)； budding test: plowing and soil puddling； and surface sowing, a second seed soaking is carried out before the surface sowing.【課題】 表面播種後における鉄粉被覆稲種子の出芽を早めることにより、草による被害を防止することができる鉄粉被覆稲種子の湛水直播栽培方法の提供。【解決手段】種子の準備→浸種→鉄粉被覆→鉄粉被覆後の管理（酸化・乾燥）→発芽テスト→耕起・代かき→表面播種、の工程を含む鉄粉被覆稲種子の湛水直播栽培方法において、表面播種の前に２度目の浸種を行う。【選択図】 図１
