PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an iron powder for coating seeds, capable of realizing a coating little in falling of the iron powder not only in a seeding process but also in a transferring process, and an iron-powder-coated rice plant seeds coated with the iron powder for coating rice plant seeds, and to provide an iron powder for coating rice plant seeds, rare in possibility of giving damages to the rice plant seeds and easy in handling, and an iron-powder-coated rice plant seeds coated with the iron powder for coating rice plant seeds.SOLUTION: The iron powder for coating seeds has >35% but <85% mass fraction of iron powder having ≤45 μm particle size and >75% mass fraction of iron powder having ≤63 μm particle size.COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT【課題】播種工程のみならず輸送工程においても鉄粉の脱落が少ない被覆が実現できる種子被覆用鉄粉及び該稲種子被覆用鉄粉を被覆した鉄粉被覆稲種子を得ること。また、稲種子に対してダメージを与える可能が少なく、さらには取り扱いも容易な稲種子被覆用鉄粉及び該稲種子被覆用鉄粉を被覆した鉄粉被覆稲種子を得ること。【解決手段】本発明に係る種子被覆用鉄粉は、粒子径が45μm以下の鉄粉の質量比率が35%超、85%未満、かつ粒子径が63μm以下の鉄粉の質量比率が75%超であることを特徴とするものである。【選択図】 図1
