Theinstrumentincludes a housing, an annular blade on a distal end of said housing forcutting axiallycutting a biopsy, a transverse blade unit for transversely cutting the biopsy,and a plungerunit positioned within the housing ejecting the biopsy sample away from insidethehousing after said biopsy sample has been transversely cut.
