A vaginal speculum device includes an elongate body with a first lumen for receiving a scope device and a second lumen allowing a user to collect a swab and/or sample. An insert is positioned within the second lumen and is selectively moveable between a closed position and an open position. A distal section of the elongate body includes a tapering section.
