The invention relates to materials of bio-compatible thin layers, as mono-layers or multi-layers, employed for coating titanium alloys used to make dental implants and dental bio-medical devices. According to the invention, the materials are made of either individual thin layers of oxynitride type such as: TaON, TiON, ZrON, TaTiON, TaZrON and TiZrON of oxide type TaOor carbo-oxynitrides, such as: TaCON, TiCON, ZrCON, TaTiCON, TaZrCON and TiZrCON with the O/N and O/(C+N) ratios ranging between 0.25...4, with the ratio between the metals ranging between 0.5...2, and the ratio between non-metals and metals ranging between 0.8...3.3, or individual thin alternating layers of oxynitride type TaON/TiON, TaON/ZrON, TiON/ZrON, oxides TaO/TiO, TaO/ZrO, TiO/ZrOor carbo-oxynitrides TaCON/TiCON, TaCON/ZrCON, TiCON/ZrCON, the ratio between individual layer thicknesses ranging between 0.25...4, with the thicknesses of the individual pairs of thin layers ranging between 5...400 nm, with the ratio of the individual layer thicknesses ranging between 0.26...4, with total thicknesses ranging between 1...4 μ m, with high adherence to the sublayer, the normal critical forces upon the adhesion scratch test being of 10...40 N, with micro-hardness ranging between 8...34 GPa, the quantity of ions released in Carter-Brugirard artificial saliva being lower than 40 μ g/cm, the corrosion rates being less than 8x10mm/year, and the cell viability factor being higher than 80% upon the cytotoxicity test.Invenţia se referă la materiale din straturi subţiri, biocompatibile, sub formă de monostraturi sau de multistraturi, folosite pentru acoperirea aliajelor de titan din care sunt realizate implanturile dentare şi dispozitivele biomedicale stomatologice.
