PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxidation hair dye composition capable of improving viscosity stability in an oxidation hair dye composition using α-naphthol.SOLUTION: There is provided an oxidation hair dye composition containing an alkali agent and an oxidizing agent, the composition comprising (A) 0.005 to 0.45 mass% of α-naphthol, (B) at least one oily component selected from a higher alcohol, an ester and a wax which are liquid at 25°C and (C) a nonionic surfactant having a polyoxyethylene chain having an addition number of moles of ethylene oxide of 20 or more.
