PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a peat moss composition having high water absorption performance and a method of using the composition even if peat moss is sterilized by heating and repeatedly used.SOLUTION: A peat moss composition of the present invention has peat moss as a main component, and contains a fiber component, in which the fiber component is at least one selected form regenerated cellulose fiber and water-absorptive cellulose fiber in which natural cellulose fiber is made hydrophilic, and the fiber component is dispersed into peat moss.
