PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device, capturing an embolus strip regardless of size and shape of a blood vessel and various mounting methods to the blood vessel, and improved in filter performance and proximity to a blood vessel.SOLUTION: This tip protecting/embolus material recovery device is improved in proximity to both thick blood vessel and thin blood vessel of various shapes to facilitate filtering of embolus material in the state of passing blood at the time of intravascular treatment. The device includes a filter basket designed to maximize the proximity of a filter part to the inner surface of the blood vessel and further includes a strut supporting a filter film in the circumferential direction to eliminate or minimize bending of a filter basket. A thin film material may be used for the filter film of the filter basket.
