PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rooftop greening system capable of arranging a plant growth condition and efficiently saving energy for air conditioning of a building. SOLUTION: This rooftop greening system 1 saves energy for air conditioning of a building by greening a rooftop 4, using a nonwoven fabric sheet 6 obtained by forming in a sheet-like shape nonwoven fabric which comprises using hydrophilic polyester fiber as the main material fiber. The system has a root prevention sheet 5 to be laid on a flat rooftop 4 set with gradual inclination, the nonwoven sheet 6 to be put on the root prevention sheet 5, and a mat plant 7 as a plant made by bringing a root zone 9 put on the nonwoven sheet 6 to a thin layer followed by making in a mat-like form.
