The control module drives the drive shaft (12) by the drive mechanism to rotate the toothbrush head (20) clockwise or counterclockwise based on the attitude data acquired by the attitude sensor, thereby rotating the toothbrush. There is provided an automatically controlled electric toothbrush characterized in that the drive mechanism is controlled so that the head (20) rotates in a direction from a root toward a crown.
