PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate an appropriate selection of agricultural machinery, such as tractors and planters, that match a land use plan and a farming plan. SOLUTION: An apparatus for simulating agricultural machinery selection includes an input means 6, 7, 8 for enabling the input of genera, varieties, planting modes, planting area, types of work to harvest, working period and data on agricultural machinery, a cultivation calendar creation means 2 for creating a cultivation calendar from the input genera, varieties, planting modes, planting area, types of work to harvest and working period, an arithmetic means 3 for estimating work-specific machine use efficiency from data on the climate of a cultivation district, field working conditions, field location conditions, and the genera, varieties, planting modes, planting area, types of work to harvest, working period and data on the working width and working speed of agricultural machinery input by the input means 6, 7, 8, and an output means 8, 9 for outputting the result of estimation by the arithmetic means 3.
