PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surfactant composition containing a taurine salt of N-acyl methyl taurine, in which the taurine salt of N-acyl methyl taurine is hardly precipitated and is transparent at room temperature of about 20°C, and which has restoration property such that it becomes transparent again, when it is returned to room temperature, even when it is solidified at low temperature.SOLUTION: There is provided a surfactant composition containing: (A) 15 to 35 mass% of taurine salt of N-acyl methyl taurine represented by following general formula (1) and (B) 0.1 to 5 mass% of at least one selected from a hydroxy acid having 6 or less carbon atoms and a dicarboxylic acid having 6 or less carbon atoms, where the content of sodium chloride is 2 mass% or less.
