PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a body movement assisting device 1 that helps an invalid 8 with the muscle strength of his legs and waist weakened and his body balance sense deteriorated stand up and walk, so that the invalid 8 can move freely without the help of care personnel.SOLUTION: The body movement assistant device 1 includes a slide column 6 making the invalid movable both horizontally and vertically and body holders 7a and 7b installed on the slide column 6. The invalid 8 moves his/her body by holding the arms 17a, 18a of body holders 7a and 7b between the body 8c and arm 8b.
