PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for planting bulbs which is capable of surely planting bulbs such as garlic, eliminates change of attitude of the bulbs in a planting step, and continuously planting the bulbs to be directed in a constant direction with the rooting bottom B downward and the germinating part A upward.
SOLUTION: The planting apparatus has bulb planting holders 4, a rotating transfer mechanism 3 for rotating the holders, and a pushing device 5 for pushing the bulb held at the bulb planting holder 4 into the ground, wherein the rotating transfer mechanism 3 rotates in the direction of travel, synchronously with the running speed, and has a holder keeping portion 32 keeping the plurality of planting holders 4 provided on the rotating transfer mechanism, and the pushing device 5 is positioned on the inside of the rotation of a roller chain 31 of the rotating transfer mechanism 3, and pushes a push out shaft 42 of the bulb planting holder 4 rotated to the planting position, toward the inside of the soil.
