An ostomy attachment 1, ostomy bag kit and method of attaching an ostomy bag to a patient, comprises the provision of an annular seal 4 configured to embrace a stoma and a non-absorbent spout 2 that in use is disposed beneath the stoma and configured to direct ostomy output away from the patient and annular seal and into an ostomy bag (15, Fig 6). A modular two part fixing plate for an ostomy bag, ostomy bag kit and method of using a modular two-part plate for an ostomy bag is further provided and comprises the provision of a fixing plate having (i) a reusable outer ring (21, Fig 7) with a hypoallergenic skin safe adhesive skin abutting side (23, Fig 7) and an outer side with a protective layer (24, Fig7), (ii) a non-reusable inner ring (22, Fig 9) comprising a mouldable annulus (30, Fig 9) with a central aperture (31, Fig 9) which is removably engaged with the outer ring and (iii) an annular housing (32, Fig 9) which supports the annulus and provides the landing site for an ostomy bag.
