PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening/closing implement capable of being changed over between an opened state and a closed state, and furthermore between the opened state or the closed state and an intermediate state thereof, and to provide a respiration auxiliary device having the opening/closing implement.SOLUTION: An opening/closing implement includes: a mask 13 having an inner face 13f in which an expiratory hole 13a is opened and an opening/closing mechanism 15 performing opening/closing of the expiratory hole 13a. The expiratory valve 15 can move along the inner face 13f between a first position and a second position in which opening areas of the ventilation hole 13a are different from each other.
