The present invention provides a wheelchair and a rehabilitation apparatus therefor. The rehabilitation apparatus is installed onto the wheelchair. The wheelchair has a pair of wheels. The rehabilitation apparatus includes a follower attached to a side of the wheel, a supporting rod, and a connecting rod mounted on the supporting rod. The follower has at least one joining part configured to be fastened to the one side of the wheel at a point at a radial distance from a drive shaft of the wheel. The supporting rod is detachably fastened to the wheelchair. The connecting rod has a joining end and an actuation end. The joining end of the connecting rod is connected with the joining part of the follower. The connecting rod pivots, as being driven by the follower, and moves its actuation end back and forth.
