PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope having a user-friendly operation section constituted into a small and compact size even if the endoscope is jointly provided with a treatment instrument raising mechanism.
SOLUTION: This endoscope is disposed with one curving stopper mechanism 8A out of a pair of curving stopper mechanisms 8A and 8B at a position between a pair of curving operation wires 6A and 6B which are disposed in parallel in the operation section 4, the other curving stopper mechanism 8B at a position along the outside of the pair of curving operation wires 6A and 6B, and a connection adjusting mechanism 14 of the treatment instrument raising device, which remotely operates the treatment instrument raising member disposed at the distal end 3 of an insertion section, at a position along the outside of the pair of curving operation wires 6A and 6B in the opposite side of the other curving stopper mechanism 8B.
