PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope apparatus which can be inserted certainly, easily, and smoothly by taking aim at a desired position when inserting the endoscope into a body cavity such as extra-fine diameter bile/pancreatic ducts.SOLUTION: In an endoscope apparatus in which a forceps port 37 where a treatment tool is inserted, an observation port 39 which observes a subject under test, and an illumination window which emits illumination light are arranged on the apical surface 35 of an endoscope insertion part 13 which has a curvature part 19 which allows curvature operation, a part 81 of the apical surface of the endoscope insertion part 13 is formed projectingly at the axial direction tip of the endoscope insertion part 13, and the part 81 of the projected apical surface is arranged at a position which is placed within an observation visual field from the observation port 39. In this curvature part cross-sectional surface, the observation port 39 is arranged on a first apical projection area which projects a first area where operation wire is present onto an apical surface 35 of the endoscopic insertion part distal end. A second apical projection area which projects a second area where the operation wire is not present onto the apical surface 35 of the endoscope insertion part distal end projects on the outside of the longitudinal axis direction of the endoscope insertion part 13.
