The pump has a breast hood (3) for receiving tightly a womans breast. A milk collecting unit receives milk pumped from the womans breast. The collecting unit includes a downwards directed opening provided in a support unit for providing a suction communication to a breast hood. A manual pumping unit (1) of the collecting unit includes a wall unit for forming and surrounding a displacement space (9). An actuation unit of the pumping unit mechanically displaces a suction unit in an axial direction. A latching unit releasably connects the wall unit to a support (6) of the collecting unit.
