The present invention relates to a method for producing a preterm animal model and a preterm animal model using the same. The method of manufacturing a preterm animal model according to the present invention can provide a preterm animal model that can be effectively applied to identify causes and symptoms of premature birth due to cervical injury. In spite of being an animal model in which prematurity is induced, the mortality rate in the process leading up to premature birth is not high but the yield is the highest among the existing models and can be effectively applied to identify the cause and mechanism of prematurity by premature birth at a desired time point. The neonate born in the animal model of the present invention according to the present invention can be effectively applied to the study of neonatal complications of premature birth because the mortality is very low and immature.본 발명은 조산 동물모델의 제조방법 및 이를 이용한 조산 동물모델에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 조산 동물모델의 제조방법은 자궁경부 손상으로 인해 조산이 유도되는 원인 및 증상을 규명하는데 효과적으로 적용될 수 있는 조산 동물모델을 제공할 수 있다. 또한 조산이 유도되는 동물모델임에도 불구하고 조산까지 이르는 과정에서의 사망률은 높지 않으면서 수율이 현존하는 모델중 가장 높으며 원하는 시점에 조산됨으로써 조산의 원인 및 기전을 규명하는데 효과적으로 적용될 수 있다.본 발명에 따른 조산 동물모델에서 태어나는 신생아는 사망률이 현저히 낮으면서 미성숙하므로 조산하는 신생아의 합병증의 연구에 효과적으로 적용될 수 있다.
