Feminine hygiene pads are provided that include an elongate main pad portion including an intermediate region between forward and rear regions and a pair of flaps extending laterally from the intermediate region wherein at least a portion of the intermediate region and the flaps include material having a color for concealing bodily fluids staining the intermediate region and flaps e.g. black or other non white color. For example the color may be similar to the color of an undergarment to which the pad is secured. Optionally each flap may include tapered side edges and/or may include an outer edge that includes a plurality of arcuate lobes separated by scallops.
