A process for preparing a dentifrice comprising a film of the polymer matrix with poorly soluble flavorant therein, comprising the steps of: a) preparing a polymer matrix film substantially containing no sparingly soluble flavoring, wherein said polymer matrix comprises a water-soluble polymer and a sparingly soluble polymeric additive b) producing a basis of a dentifrice containing a sparingly soluble flavorant c) combining the polymer matrix of the film to the substrate means for cleaning teeth and d) aging merged GOVERNMENTAL film polymer matrix, and bases the dentifrice for a period of time suitable in order to an effective amount of a poorly soluble flavoring passed from said base dentifrice into said polymeric film matritsy.2. A method according to Claim. 1, where a sparingly soluble flavoring agent is selected from the group consisting of menthol, spearmint oil, cinnamon oil, peppermint oil, clove oil, bay oil, thyme oil, cedar leaf oil, oil of nutmeg, oil of sage, and oil of bitter mindalya.3.
