The present invention relates to a system for monitoring water bodies such as rivers, lakes, reservoirs, and waters and a monitoring method for the same. The purpose of the present invention is to provide a water environment monitoring system using a profiling technique by water level and a water environment monitoring method for the same which is capable of finding causes such as water pollution, green tide, and fish mortality and building an aquatic ecology / water environment forecasting and warning system by constructing a real-time monitoring environment using a profile by water level for water bodies which needs to be monitored by water level. The present invention for achieving the purpose provides a water environment monitoring system which is capable of monitoring water bodies such as rivers, lakes, reservoirs, and waters which need to be continuously monitored.
