A composition comprising an adduct of an oil and an addition material, e.g.castor oilmaleate, and a flaxseed extract, for providing moisture to skin, hair and/ornails, byproviding a moisture barrier in that the adduct complexes with fatty acids intheflaxseed extract to form a barrier that protects against external pollutantsandallergens while retaining natural oils and moisture in the skin, hair and/ornails.
