<；P>；PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter excellent in kink resistance at a boundary part between a catheter body and a guide wire insertion part. <；P>；SOLUTION: The catheter 1 includes: the catheter body 2 of long-sized shape having a lumen 21 extending in the longitudinal direction； and the guide wire insertion part 3 installed on the distal end side of the catheter body 2, formed in tubular shape through which a guide wire can be inserted, and having a distal end aperture 37 and a proximal end aperture 36. The distal end of the catheter body 2 has: an exposure preventing part 223 (a first layer 231) whose outer diameter is reduced； a first coil 22 covering the outer surface of the exposure preventing part 223； and a second layer 232 covering the outer surface of the first coil 22 and covering near the proximal end aperture 36 of the guide wire insertion part 3. <；P>；COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
