PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe anti-inflammatory agent and antioxidant, capable of maintaining effects for a long time.SOLUTION: (1) This anti-inflammatory agent is provided by using siderophore as an active ingredient. The anti-inflammatory agent is useful especially for the prevention or treatment of inflammation of digestive tract when it is administered perorally. As the siderophore, representatively, deferriferrichrysin is cited. The deferriferrichrysin is a safe substance which have been taken by humans as a sake component from ancient days. (2) The antioxidant is provided by using the siderophore as an active ingredient.
