PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of ultraviolet light sterilization which is capable of simply and surely sterilizing a sterilized object in powder form or to be crushed.SOLUTION: The method of the ultraviolet light sterilization uses a housing container 12 in which the sterilized object is housed, and agitating means 60 for agitating and crushing the sterilized object which is housed in the housing container 12, and sterilizes the sterilized object in the housing container 12 with ultraviolet light. In the method of the ultraviolet light sterilization, the sterilized object is housed in the housing container 12, the sterilized object in the housing container 12 is agitated and crushed by agitating means 60, the sterilized object is electrostatically charged by the action of agitating friction caused by the agitating means 60, and generating the ultraviolet light almost continuously by the appearance and disappearance of electronic polarization of the elements of the sterilized object by repeating the performance of the charging and discharging of electricity to the sterilized object alternately to sterilize the sterilized object in the housing container 12 with the ultraviolet light.COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT【課題】 粉状の又は粉砕を要する被殺菌物を簡単に且つ確実に殺菌することができる紫外線殺菌方法を提供する。【解決手段】 被殺菌物が収容される収容容器12及び収容容器12に収容された被殺菌物を攪拌して粉砕するための攪拌手段60を用いて、収容容器12内の被殺菌物を紫外線により殺菌する紫外線殺菌方法である。この紫外線殺菌方法では、被殺菌物を収容容器12に収容し、収容容器12に収容された被殺菌物を攪拌手段60によって攪拌して粉砕し、攪拌手段60による攪拌摩擦作用によって被殺菌物を帯電させ、被殺菌物への帯電及び放電を交互に繰り返し行うことにより被殺菌物元素の電子分極の生起と消滅により紫外線を略連続的に発生させ、この紫外線によって収容容器12内の被殺菌物を殺菌する。【選択図】 図1
