PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for the oral cavity which exhibits a high bacteriocidal effect against oral biofilms and is effective in controlling the formation of dental plaques.
SOLUTION: The composition for the oral cavity contains (A) cranberry or its extract and (B) a cationic antimicrobial agent. The content of the component (B) is 0.001-1.0 mass% of the aggregate of the composition. (A)/(B) is in the range of 100-0.05 by mass ratio. The composition for the oral cavity contains (A) cranberry or its extract, (B) a nonionic antimicrobial agent and (C) an alcohol. The content of the component (B) is 0.001-3.0 mass% of the aggregate of the composition. (A)/(B) is in the range of 50-0.025 by mass ratio.
