PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which can suppress perspiration of a discharged liquid during use, and which may efficiently prevent stuffiness and skin trouble.SOLUTION: An absorbent article 1 comprises: a liquid permeable surface layer 2 for forming a skin facing surface； a liquid impermeable leakage prevention layer 3 for forming a non-skin facing surface； and an absorption layer 4 which is arranged between both the layers 2, 3, and absorbs a discharged liquid discharged from a wearer. The absorption layer 4 contains a steam permeation depressant 10. The steam permeation depressant 10 exists between a skin facing surface of an absorbent core 40 and a core wrap sheet 41.
