The invention relates to a cosmetic preparation for tan extension. The cosmetic includes as active ingredient a complex of 0.1 to 3.0 wt.-% caffeine, 0.2 to 2 wt.-% Phototan(R), 0.01 to 1.0 wt.-% copper gluconate and further cosmetic auxiliaries, excipients, further active substances and mixtures thereof to make 100 wt.-%. It is possible to achieve a sun tan extension of up to 7 to 9 days, and in some cases up to 11 days.
