PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seedling transplanter equipped with a seedling-transplanting mechanism 14, having a pair of transplanting bodies 31 performing transplantation of the seedlings, by intermittent reciprocating motions toward a field and a seedling-conveying mechanism 13 for conveying and supplying the seedlings to the transplanting bodies, one by one, to be in a state of being nipped by a pair of nipping bodies 26a, 26b to a seedling holder part 26 in a traveling machine body, and to reduce damage to the seedlings when supplying the seedlings to the seedling holder part 26 so as be nipped.SOLUTION: This seedling transplanter is provided, by constituting at least either of the nipping bodies (movable nipping bodies) 26b of the pair of the nipping bodies at the seedling holder part 26 of the seedling-conveying mechanism 13 so as to be turnable, by opening in a direction of separating from the other nipping body (fixed nipping body) 26a, and installing a spring means 26d that energizes the former nipping body so as to close by turning the former nipping body in the direction of approaching to the latter nipping body.COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT【課題】走行機体4に,圃場に向かう間欠的な往復動にて苗の植付けを行うようにした一対の植付け体31を有する苗植付け機構14と,苗を苗ホルダ部26における一対の挟持体26a,26bにて挟持した状態で前記植付け体に一株ずつ搬送供給するようにした苗搬送機構13とを備えて成る苗移植機において,苗を,前記苗ホルダ部26に挟持するように供給するときにおける苗の損傷を低減する。【解決手段】前記苗搬送機構13の苗ホルダ部26における一対の挟持体のうち少なくとも一方の挟持体(可動挟持体)26bを,他方の挟持体(固定挟持体)26aから離れる方向に開き回動するように構成し,この一方の挟持体に,これを前記他方の挟持体に接近する方向に閉じ回動するように付勢するばね手段26dを設ける。【選択図】図7
