A novel 1,2-dihydroquinoline derivative of general formula(1) which is useful as a glucocorticoid receptor modulator.R1 represents a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group； R2represents a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group； R3 andR4 represent a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group； R5represents a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group； R6represents a halogen atom, a lower alkyl group, a hydroxygroup, a lower alkoxy group or a nitro group； X represents-C(O)-, -C(O)NR-, -S(O)2-； R7 and R6 represent a hydrogenatom, an optionally substituted lower alkyl group, anoptionally substituted aryl group, an optionallysubstituted heterocyclic group, an optionally substitutedlower alkoxy group； Y represents a lower alkylene group； Zrepresent a chalcogen atom； and p represents 0, 1, 2 or 3.(see formula 1)
