The present invention relates to a culture medium and method for producing abalone probiotic microorganisms using a novel bioprocess technology. There are currently no commercially viable bioprocesses for the production of abalone probiotics. The present invention relates to the production of probiotic products from small-volume frozen cultures of Vibrio midae, a bacterial probiotic, or Debaryomyces hansenii, a yeast probiotic, or combinations thereof. It facilitates the biological production of abalone probiotics. The present invention describes inoculation techniques, fermentation methods, biomass harvesting, and the formulation of biomass into liquid or dry products that can be incorporated into abalone feed.
