The water chamber is a part of the plant vessel and formed selectively by a recess, indent or cut-out section to form between the shaped wall and part of the outside wall an open chamber which does not project over the outer circumference of the plant vessel. With a one-piece design the inner partition of the water chamber has at ground level openings (6) to ensure a uniform water level between the inside of the plant vessel and the water chamber. The inner full-length partition and the outer wall of reduced height are firmly connected to the outside body (7). One side can have an indent for stacking.
