PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an oral composition that has a high inhibitory effect on argingipain produced by a periodontal disease-causing bacterium being a pathogenesis factor, an excellent suppressive effect on periodontitis and suppressive effect on foul breath and is effective for preventing or treating periodontal disease and preventing or suppressing foul breath.SOLUTION: The oral composition comprises (A) protamine, (B) one or more kinds of copper compounds selected from copper gluconate, cupric sulfate, cupric chloride and cupric acetate in the mass ratio of the component (A)/the component (B) of 0.01-100.
