The present invention relates to a genetically edited animal, especially to a genetically edited pig in which expression or activity of the RELA protein has been modified. Such pigs have at least partial protection against the African Swine Fever Virus. The invention also provides, a cell nucleus, germ cell, stem cell, gamete, blastocyst, embryo, foetus and/or donor cell of a non-human animal comprising a genetic modification which alters the expression or function of RELA protein, methods for editing the genome of animals and methods for screening the efficacy of a pharmaceutical agent in such an animal.L'invention concerne un animal génétiquement modifié, en particulier un cochon génétiquement modifié chez lequel l'expression ou l'activité de la protéine RELA a été modifiée. Ces cochons présentent une protection au moins partielle contre le virus de la peste porcine africaine. L'invention concerne également un noyau de cellule, une cellule germinale, une cellule souche, un gamète, un blastocyste, un embryon, un foetus et/ou une cellule donatrice d'un animal non humain présentant une modification génétique qui modifie l'expression ou la fonction de la protéine RELA. L'invention concerne encore des méthodes de modification du génome d'animaux ainsi que des méthodes destinées à cribler l'efficacité d'un agent pharmaceutique chez un animal.
