Die Erfindung betrifft die Verwendung von Pantothenol (Dexpanthenol) oder dessen physiologisch unbedenklichen Estern bzw. von Pantothensäure oder deren physiologisch unbedenklichen Salzen zur Verringerung der unerwünschten systemischen Resorption von imidazolinbasierten alpha- Sympathomimetika bei deren topischen, insbesondere nasalen, bevorzugt intranasalen Applikation im Rahmen der Behandlung von Rhinitis.Use of (a) pantothenol (dexpanthenol) or its ester and/or pantothenic acid or its salt together and/or in combination with (b) at least one imidazoline-based alpha -sympathomimetic activity or its salts for the reduction of the systemic resorption of the imidazoline-based alpha -sympathomimetic activity with the treatment of rhinitis and/or for preparing a drug for treating rhinitis, is claimed. An independent claim is included for a combination therapeutic agent in form of a pharmaceutical composition for the treatment of rhinitis for reducing imidazoline-based alpha -sympathomimetic activity, where the pharmaceutical composition contains (a) and (b). MECHANISM OF ACTION : None given.L'invention concerne l'utilisation de pantothénol (dexpanthénol) ou d'esters physiologiquement acceptables de ce dernier, ou d'acide pantothénique ou de sels physiologiquement acceptables de ce dernier, pour réduire la résorption systémique indésirable des sympathomimétiques alpha à base d'imidazoline lors de leur administration topique, en particulier par voie nasale, de préférence par voie intranasale, dans le cadre de traitement de rhinites.
