The present invention provides an external preparation for skin used for bathing, losing lotion, alleviation of skin diseases, and the like. The external preparation for skin is composed of a filtrate obtained by dispersing a swelling produced through a clay layer containing alum in water and a dispersion obtained by filtering the residue after being used for production of swelling as a filter medium. The swelling may be a combination of red, golden, and white swelling, either alone or in a suitable combination of two or more.
