PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel antioxidant agent having all of free metal chelating ability and substrate-free HOerasing activity (catalase activity), in addition to high Oerasing activity (SOD activity).SOLUTION: An antioxidant agent is represented by the following formula (1), wherein A is a compound represented by the following formula (2), and B is a phthalocyanine complex, a porphyrine complex or a derivative of the complexes. The formula (1) is represented: A-(B)(In the formula, A represents a group capable of capturing a metal ion). The formula (2) is represented: -CH-(NH-CHCH)- (In the formula, n represents an integer of 1-10).
