The present invention relates to a novel strain of the genus Arthrobacter, and a strain of the genus Alcaligenes having indole decomposition ability and to uses thereof, wherein the strains oxidize the indole to isatin or anthranilic acid, are used as a sole carbon source and do not produce other indole analogues or complexes, thereby having better indole decomposition ability than strains having existing indole decomposition ability. Therefore, the strains can be usefully used in various fields such as an excrement treatment agent, a feed additive, or a compost treatment agent.COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017본 발명은 인돌 분해능을 가진 신규한 아스로박터(Arthrobacter) 속 균주, 알칼리게네스(Alcaligenes) 속 균주 및 이의 용도에 대한 것으로, 상기 균주는 인돌을 이사틴(Isatin) 또는 안트라닐산(anthranilic acid)으로 산화시켜 유일한 탄소원으로 사용하며, 다른 인돌 유사체 또는 복합체를 생산하지 않으므로, 기존 인돌 분해능을 가진 균주보다 더 뛰어난 인돌 분해능을 가진다. 따라서 이를 분뇨처리제, 사료첨가제 또는 퇴비처리제 등 다양한 분야에 유용하게 사용할 수 있다.
