PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a threshing apparatus designed to raise the harvest collection yield at a swing shelf part including a straw rack on a swing shelf.SOLUTION: This threshing apparatus 15 has a threshing chamber 66 for separating grains from reaped grain culms, a swing shelf 51 under the threshing chamber 66 for separating a to-be-treated object into grains and waste straw by the aid of its swing motion, and a straw rack 62 on the terminal end side of the swing shelf 51 for guiding waste straw toward the outside of the threshing apparatus 15 wherein the straw rack 62 is vertically movable with its end as the support in association with the swing motion of the swing shelf 51. Besides, this threshing apparatus 15 is so designed that, when the quantity of a to-be-treated object is small, e.g. while a combine harvester is turning at the corners of a farming field, the majority of the to-be-treated object conveyed onto the straw rack 62 can be returned to a tailings return chamber even if the straw rack 62 is set at a lowered level on the contrary, when the quantity of such an object is large, waste straw and the like is discharged out of the threshing apparatus 15 without clogging the to-be-treated object on the swing shelf 51 when the straw rack 62 is set at a raised level.COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO【課題】 揺動棚のストローラックをはじめとして揺動棚部分での収穫物の回収性を高めること。【解決手段】 脱穀装置15に刈り取った穀稈から穀粒を分離する脱穀用扱室66と該扱室66の下方に被処理物を揺動により穀粒と藁くずに分離するための揺動棚51を設け、揺動棚51の終端部側に藁くずを脱穀装置15の外部に向けて誘導するためのストローラック62を設け、揺動棚51の揺動に関連してストローラック62の端部を支点として上下動自在にする。さらに、コンバインが圃場のコーナを旋回している間など、被処理物が少ないときはストローラック62を下げておいても、ストローラック62上に搬送されて来た被処理物の大部分を二番処理室に還元できる。また、被処理物が多い場合にはストローラック62を上げておくと、揺動棚51上で被処理物が詰まることなく機外に排出される。
