PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pretreatment method of fresh foods such as vegetables, fruits, meats, and seafoods that enhances palatability of the treated fresh foods and makes the condition of the treated fresh foods suitable for cooking.SOLUTION: A pretreatment method of fresh foods includes an immersion step for immersing fresh foods in salt water and a heating step for steaming the fresh foods after the immersion step.
