PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extremely convenient and rapid method for transforming plants in order to establish a convenient and rapid method for transforming plants as compared to conventional methods.
SOLUTION: The method comprises the steps of: (a) preparing a mixture of cells and nucleic acids (b) keeping the mixture under pressure different from atmospheric pressure (c) treating the mixture with ultrasonic wave and if necessary arranging the mixture under a condition where electroporation is brought about. The convenient method facilitates important mass treatment/mass analysis in development researches in this field and consequently induces the rapid progress of research and leads to the development of epoch-making recombinant crops.
